Smart building

Thanks to new digital technologies and the digitalization of sectors, buildings are also becoming intelligent. More and more technologies, sensors, and connected systems are being integrated into buildings, all of which communicate with each other. A whole digital ecosystem is coming to life.

This ecosystem includes occupants, property managers, and service providers, who work with the smart building to facilitate and secure the daily lives of the various parties involved, intelligently manage the occupation of spaces, their maintenance (and therefore the interventions of service providers), and also, for example, energy consumption, which is one of the major challenges of smart buildings.

Soft FM, the ally of smart building

The tools and sensors embedded in a building cannot be controlled by themselves. For this, a soft FM can become an unstoppable ally in order to centralize everything on a single platform.

Indeed, it will allow you to control them simply, simultaneously or even automatically, while providing data that will be very useful for building optimization.

The FM software also allows to manage and control all the services that take place in the building (cleaning, security, maintenance, green spaces...), from the simple signature of the contract, to the digitization of the specifications, to the good execution of the services.

Since the covid pandemic, service to the occupants is a major axis, the soft FM can also be a big advantage for the occupation and the reservation of rooms, or even offices for flex office.

In addition, soft FM is intended to facilitate the daily life of occupants and property managers. Tools are available to intelligently manage energy consumption, space occupancy, maintenance, and even service provider interventions within a single platform, enabling an entire ecosystem to work together.

The office of today and tomorrow

As mentioned earlier, since the global pandemic, offices are not the same. Telecommuting and flex office have become commonplace, whereas we hardly heard about it 3 years ago.

Offices have to adapt to these new ways of working, and this requires new ways of managing them, but also new layouts and services.

Today, as we know, well-being at work has a major impact on an employee's productivity. The office is no longer simply a place of work, but becomes a place of life that promotes collaboration, productivity and well-being at work.

We can then find dedicated spaces such as sports rooms, nap rooms, hair salons or wellness, or even spaces dedicated to games / video games for example.

All of these developments encourage a warm work environment, conducive to meetings and activities between colleagues outside of work, and also very attractive.

But what will the office of tomorrow be like?
